The GRE is a 3 hour 45min computer–adaptive test (CAT) that consists of three sections: an Analytical Writing Assessment, a Quantitative Section and a Verbal Section
Analytical Writing

- 2 Essays, 60 minutes total
- 30 minutes for the "issue" essay
- 30 minutes for the "argument" essay
- Tests ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise and effective way, evaluate claims and evidence, support ideas using logical reasoning and relevant examples, and use standard written English to prove an argument

- 2 Sections: each section approximately 20 Questions
35 min
- Problem Solving, Quantitative Comparison, Numeric Entry (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation)

Verbal
|
- 2 Sections: each section approximately 20 Questions

- Reading Comprehension, Text Completion, Sentence Equivalence
